Learning the Name of Plants and Fungi in SOA?

I played the story mode a long time ago, but I think I remember that we find a book or something that teach us the name of some plants and mushrooms, and then our character stop to see "unknown" to see the real name of the plant/mushroom.

Do we have something similar in Spirit of Amazonia? At this point, my friends and I already gave each mushroom and plants a nickname so we know what we are talking about, but I wonder if there's anyway to learn the real name of everything.

I search on google and people told there's a ModAPI that unlocks everything in our notebook, including the name of everything, but that's the issue, it seems we need to unlock everything, there's no way to unlock only the name of things.

We learn the names by reading papers in the different abandoned camps, but as you kinda said I think there is one point in the game where you get to read alot of them and thats kinda when you know "all" of them, but you still dont learn all of them :/ I think they easily couldve bypassed these situations arising by simply giving them names Jack wouldve given them: blue helmet, yellow helmet, yellow trumpet, morel, bush root, flowertree root, orange tomato, big leaf herb, bandage herb... Something tells me you know exactly what Im talking about for all of them, so why not let Jack do his kiddy naming :D

I just finished SoA and unfortunately did not find a way to learn plant/fungi names, although I explored almost everything. I agree this is strange and inconvenient, especially taking into account that most plants have real prototypes and I do not understand the reason to hide their names :(

Sorry I meant for the original story. In soa I never found out the names either.

It some of that weirdness that comes with the crossovers between the stories. F.ex did you know you can now make the inca war thingy in the original story too? 2x obsidian stone, plank, rope. It makes sense if we say he subconsciously remembers it from soa, but still its never mentioned in the original game :D
