Plant growth..and respawn?

so im on anaconda island, and i decided to make banana leaf roofing..so iv been cutting down the young banana (the ones that are light green and not producing bananas), my question is, do they respawn? do they grow into full banana trees and im killing off my food sources?

I believe they do respawn but only after a very long time. Probably seasonal so once a year in the raining season. I've had to clear my paths many times as they over growth.
What you could do to achieve more food easy access is plant some banana and lots of fruit trees.
Harvest a green banana and you will get some small banana grey seeds. Craft a large planter or two or more and plant ,. You can fertilize them with dung and water them also they wont die if not watered.

All the fruit trees we grow drop their fruit to the ground when we are away , We can pick up later.

yeah i planed on doing farming anyway was just wondering if i was shooting myself in the foot in the mean time, pretty sure palm roof and bananananana have the same effect but i just like the way the Bnanas look (yes i know i spelled it wrong...to much pink fong with baby sister :P)

also you said you had to clear your paths, what about the ground under my buildings? (no clue why i cant make a floor) will i have little plants sprout under me? i know if the tree trunk is gone it dose not come back but what about the small leaf plants that are now under my base?

The paths are outside.
Just some grass inside now. It was sort of fixed with a patch no it wont grow. Leave the roots for trees to grow to back.
I know I feel your pain being barefoot, its almost beyond understanding why we have only dirt floors not even a hide to place there and then when it rains it rains inside.
Creepy Jar says its just cosmetics we wont actually get wet or put out the fire..
All my other survival games include floor base pieces.
Love the game anyway just camping in the jungle :D
Once they have finished with game hopefully they have time to start fixing this stuff and spend time adding all them hundreds of requests in maybe allow user generated content :)

yeah and how shody his constructions are, i know hes no expert..ohh wait hes an anthropologist he should know how to put the wattle straight, and to completely cover it with the thorb, the fact that you see the sticks at weird angles AND the mud not covering them 100% really triggers my OCD..and as to the floor, the closest i found was a place anywhere mod, to place the frame lower, and use the mud roof as a floor

That's clever.
Jake is used to a large tent and floor with provisions. He is short tempered and swears a lot :D
Is he an expert though maybe he dropped it once he went in to the jungle looking for Mia and we had to take up his char and show him how to survive with no modern cons just a time of drug lords corruption misplaced savages that were experimented on.

still it takes more work to mess up the wattle and thorb then to make it right XD
