the forest has good building and the terrain is not the Amazon Jungle style.
Forest focus is on killing deformed humans.
Where as Green Hell focuses on micro nutrients hunger thirst finding foods that wont poison you. Surviving in a true jungle environments. I'd place it similar to naked and afraid on TV lol. Graphics is really beautiful and realistic, full of critters that can bite and sting you.
Its quite difficult to managing thirst and hunger and avoiding the predators at first very immersive as you walk through the areas. Its truly one of the best natural survival games I have played. You can choose your difficulty and even customize them.
The new DLC Spirits of Amazon can be played in survival with new map appended to the old.
There is storymode in the first as Well Story mode in Spirits of the Amazon.
Do your research first youtube has lots of video. Read the guides pinned here.
Where as with Green Hell now played over 1000 hours I loved everything after I learnt how to do it all lol.
The nutrients micro management is really the heart of this game. It will push you to learn try harder die or survive.
The base building is entirely different from the forest in that we can build from the survival notepad and the blueprints are discoverable.
Most items we need in this game is discoverable before we can use them which adds focus on the decision making is so important to survivng just one day.
We can craft bamboo houses and wooded then as we progress we add mud to them.
I made a video of my main base if it helps you but I dont wish to give you any spoilers.
Let me know.
Also the Community tab shows some amazing bases.
We can disable the tribes tomake the game easier until we learn the ropes.
Find a co op friend can also help.
There is tips that appear top right corner.
Also as its a discovery the notepad updates.
We get to craft a fire in the tutorial?
Small fire.

Carry water be it dirty or clean in Bidons.
Harvest Coconut for flesh and get the 2 bowls. flesh is good carbs. transfer from Bidon to half bowls.
Use half coconut bowls to boil water on cooking spots can also leave out in rain ,
Big rocks can be found near the walls of stone or at creeks for small stones.
Big rocks rightclick and harvest them to smaller.
Make a stone blade for starters so you can cut trees and make a save >moduler roof or a small hut that gives sleep and save.
