Banana leaf bed

Hello-
I was wondering if I could get some kind of hint, re. banana leaf beds. I have some banana leaves in my arms, but when I click on "craft," I just drop them.

I can't figure out how to get them on the crafting table, or to otherwise make the actual bed of banana leaves.

P.S., I guess you're supposed to place a ghost image first, by using the notebook. But I can't seem to find the recipe. Do I need to "research" it somehow first?

Good to know you worked it out. I think those basic leaves-on-the-ground beds can result in worms getting under the skin. There are blueprints for better beds but you can only find them by exploring the map and stumbling across them. If you're really stuck, you can find the map coordinates online.

Yes, it seems like the two beds that rest on the ground have a small chance to expose you to worms. Found out the hard way. Still better than sleeping on the ground. Interestingly enough, the small hut that you build and can sleep in seems to not have worm issues.

Yup, you need to find the blueprint 1st.. BUUUT.. Correct me if Im wrong, but you can build the hut shelter from the start?
The hut shelter is my go-to as you can save too.

There is also leaf bed I have never used a banana leaf bed. lol feels a bit too rough compared to leaf. :D
When sleeping in the banana / leaf bed please note you have a high chance of receiving worms. Placing a fire near the bed can help lessen the risk of worms.
Crafting a roof over it better to void the rains and also gives you save in the roof. So if you come across it again you have a small camp.
afaik the leaf/banana beds donot require us to find a BP it auomatucally is added to our notepad when chopping down firns or banana.
The log bed you do have to find the BP for the bamboo and wooden log beds.

To access them use the C on your keyboard and click on the house icon scroll through the buildings and beds. Click on the BP in the page picks it ip then place the white blue print on flat level ground first then chop down appropriate leaf.
Please refer to this guide on the Notepad and become familiar with the tabs.. The bottom right corner is folded in and the tab is on the top on left side to show which tab is opened. :)
