Did you leave map of current SOA story and return to>prequel game SOA story so they match?
I also lost my saves from the SOA 1 completed when I played SOA 2 and ventured back to SOA 1 from 2 and saved there.
Save only in your current SOA map game if your currently playing SOA 2 Story otherwsie there maybe some sort of mismatch in game data files, and some has been lost due to saves over different versions of SOA .
Please check your notepad for both DLC 1 and DLC 2 are there. The page should have an arrow to go back to DLC 1 and fw to 2. DLC

Agree with nextgengranny verify game files.
thanks for updating :)
One time I saw a capy "moving w/o moving" in some heavy brush near a pond (new map); turned out it was being pushed by a caiman.
LOL don't you just love how the animals dont interactive with one another? I wish the npcs would at least get bitten by snakes, bees, and predators...I still don't know if the gators can chase you fast in the water or at all.
I know they'll cross water to get to you, as at Anaconda Island; I never wanted to find out the hard way whether they'll attack you in the water, though. ^^ The piranha are bad enough (SoA part 2 spoiler if you've not played it yet):

It would be cool if the animals did interact w/ each other, & w/ NPCs, as well. I would've had no problem w/ that caiman snapping up that capy, rather than making a beeline for me. ^^
I did, the "spoiler" is only revealed if you click on the screenshot. I can see where the wording could be confusing, though.
I got bit by a piranha, I think, while swimming around in Soa1 area. My health bar flashed red but it barely ticked down. I was wearing metal armor.
Yeah, I figure I must've gotten chomped by quite a few for them to have done as much damage as they did. O.O
