Grappling hook story mode where to use it?

Hi, i obtained the grappling hook but in which spots i can use that damn thing?
I see everywhere cliffs and whatnot but can't use it..

Certain places will be marked with a grappling hook icon on the map (like the one at λ-2) when you discover them.

In Story Mode, the area with the grappling hook is accessed by a hidden elevator, but first, you'll need to find a certain item by an overturned jeep on a road...
