Unable to Obtain Tobacco Leaves?

It's my first playthrough, and I picked the easiest difficulty for the sake of getting the story, but I'm near the end from what I gather, and I can't seem to harvest tobacco leaves in order to make the necessary tobacco dressing. No idea why. Every walkthrough and guide I've looked at said leaf bandage + tobacco leaf, but I can't harvest the actual leaves. It only gives me the flowers. Does anyone else have this issue? Or an explanation?

Tobacco leaves are crafted with molinaria bandage
or eat in soup for antivenom properties
Harvested only gives flowers for soup.

do you have room in your backpack? leaves take up far more room than flowers. if you don't, you can still craft by picking them up from the ground while crafting the tobacco bandage.

EDIT: Apparently, closing and reopening the game fixed it, cause now I can pick them up just fine. o_O Not sure why that was what was needed, but thank you both for trying to help.
