i would really enjoy this game playing on hard but without tribes..
Maybe more diversity, as far as their mechanics but so far Ive no problems with them.
I dig the challenges to the game. The way it keeps me moving. And natives are a great part of that in my view. The AI is very interestingly well done.
Oh, and please expand the natives recorded audio. That two line song they sing is really annoying. I had it stuck in my head for two hours at work the other day.
Will l be great, we must have green and red area, in green area you can meet natives and they will react only if attacked, in red area (must be a strategic area) you invade the native territory and will be attacked.
Prior to the patch where the natives spawn in and attack just because you lit a fire I thought the natives were fine. They were there, you could avoid them, sometimes they attacked because you were too close but over all you could choose to fight or you could choose to avoid. Well except in the old hard mode where it was spawn natives on you all the time to make it hard??
Now the natives have teleportation abilities so if you light a fire in the open they teleport to you and attack you. Really! It's a survival game and guess what? Fire is an essential part to surviving but in this game it brings hostile natives. I do know there are caves you can hide in with a fire and ways to survive without out one but once again Really!
Correct me if I'm wrong here but from the brief bit of the story we have so far we are here to get back to being friendly with the natives not annihilate them. Sure for some reason they're angry at us which is why I thought the original natives struck the correct balance.
Unfortunately as the game is now if you want to survive in the open and not in a cave you have to build a fortified base with traps and weapons and almost constantly kill natives. Unless you play "Walk in the Park". So is this what Green Hell is going to become a base building and kill everything that walks on two legs type of game? I thought I saw at least one of those types of games somewhere on the internet.
To me the option shouldn't be just natives on or off but always hostile human wave type natives (as we have now) or sometimes hostile natives like we used to have.
The Natives attack a lot less since the update. The person who said you are constantly fighting them my guess is you're out wandering around so long as you stay in one location they dont spawn very often. Every few days or so.
There have been a ton of requests for option to turn them off. Dont know if they will ever add that.
Seems like we are leaning towards a fully customizable game play VS game modes.
Options to set spawn rates of foods, time, and predators/natives on and or off.
Im not sure we will see that though. The Natives being hostile is a must right now for Green hell since there are still people saying its too easy. The Natives provide a small percentage of the challenge offered in the game rather challenging to some or not. So I think they will stay in Green hell mode. As for other native tribes Idk the AI is very glitchy and hit and miss but the Combat update greatly improved them.
I dont like that spawning on the players location thats not realistic at all. Spawn them a few hundred meters away and have them come towards us not spawn on us. Which they have improved alot on too. Now It seems like when you venture away from your camp when you come back you might have a visitor but it seems not too common they are getting closer to a more balanced game.
Maybe they could add another Survival mode where its all about the main mechanics with the same difficulty as green hell but no natives. Just the same times, spawns and such as green hell minus the natives. idk. I hope they improve the AI more though. They seem very nerfed on their ability to sense the player having to spawn in on them but their ability to fight is very OP. No fatiguing when hurt or running 3 stabs to your one.
