How do I save the game?
I know it may sound stuppid but i couldn't figure out by now how the save game works.

Is there a buttom or something i need to do to save the game or it just saves atomatically?

And if the save is atomatic, which events the game choose to save the file?

You need to build a shelter. They have a save point you can use to save the game. Sleeping will NOT save the game, so be careful if the building you pick has a sleep point included.

Modular building will also work but it will need to have a roof added in order for the save point to show up.

You need to build a shelter or a frame with a roof.
At these structures you are able to save.

I just posted about this but I have a different issue. I get the option to save the game on the inside over the bed on the A frame tent and the option to sleep on the outside however... When I save the game it doesnt save it. I can load the save while Im playing but once I leave and exit I restart the game enter pick day day 2 save game for green hell and when I click load it just restarts me in the tutorial when I click the tutorial skip option I load in on day 1 with no gear.

I have an issue with saving too. So i looked it up and seems i need to build a shelter. The shelter blueprint however isn't showing on the notebook? Do i need to find it? or should i have it from the start?

The hut shelter, small shelter and small bamboo shelter are all starter blueprints. These will automatically be in your notebook once you have completed the tutorial. (they are under the house icon in the notebook, press the arrows at the bottom to flick over each page)

If these starter blueprints are not showing at the start of a new game, you may need to post in the bugs thread and send developers your game save file.

Other building blueprints need to be learnt first. You will need to explore the map to find those.

All blue prints in your notepad using house TAB will list the buildings that "allows to Save"
is written at the bottom.
No bed allows to save sorry.
Example of one shelter see at the bottom

Dumb. No indication of this post release, so I went 3 in-game-days in the abandoned hut area just fine and couldn't figure out any way to save. I assumed it must auto save after sleeping, so I closed the game. Nothing saved.

1- nice necro

2- it literally says in blueprins if you look at it "allows to save game" like literally says it idk what more of a "indicator" you need

Well actually, i've build the 'hut shelter' as well which clearly says it allows you to save the game. No saving option showed up though, neither via the menu so i assumed just sleeping in it would save the game but it does not. Brings you back all the way to the beginning after dying or restarting.. not cool.

Aim slightly above the shelter, the save action should prompt.

It is up the player to read the notepad about the shelters that save then once built to take the time to look for the save option. I would even climb up on the roof of the some of the shelters just to make sure as my progress is to die for XD
You'll kick yourself how you missed it

That is dumb as ♥♥♥♥.... I had to google how to save, find no mention of the particular shelter then found this thread here and then Jaunitta's comment in order to fnid out HOw to save.

Previosuly been clicking on the shelter and sleeping.. "need to sleep for whole length?"

Really shouldn't be this irritating.

Read the notepad. It's the 101 guide from the get go.

The one that tells you which shelters allow you to save? Yeah I did that then was utterly confused when having done so, I couldn't seemingly save still.
Had to come here in order to find out the sodding button is hovering, invisible, ABOVE the shelter. Why not in the same location as the 'sleep' icon, but via another button?!?!?!?!?

GMRSG. Garushnagoth i agree, it should have been clearer.
