look for the bush with red daisies not the red long stringy flower, they look like daisies.. break it down to find a large bulb cook it and get 35 carbs.
Look for monsteria plants big green leafy plants lots around, note some will have the brown and white flower you can harvest them if you want to grow but leave if you want the green fruit they have like 60 carbs and never have a timer to despawn. Eat as is no need to cook.
There is a small broad flat leafed plant break it down to get the malanga buld cook and eat for 35 carbs.
So aside from then there is unknown orange fruits bananas coconuts mushrooms orange cap yellow and blue on the brazilian trees. Quite a lot of carb foods around. In the fishing dock area you may need to travel further to find all of them. There is a few more behin the dock up the hill and to the right.
next is a huge red bush coverd in huge red flowers cassava you chop it down wait 5 seconds ish and itl spawn
to truly stop any decay timer u make soup teas infusions itl never spoil
things players dont normally know
u need to understand that all shrubs / plants share the same nodes meaning if u where to cut the brush ull force another random plant to grow in its spot .... to truly farm what u need in retro spec (MOW YOUR LAWN) leave nothing .... wait a about 2-4days for new plants to take place
youll be surprised not to mention this will lead to more sticks on ground /dry leaves / never ending supply of carbs and other sorces not only that
by mowing everything (the hunt) will be easier u can easily see more enimies have no where to hide ur prey has no where to hide you can then easily see pumas and jags since theirs no way for them to get camo
always bring back more than u need in my opinion its better to have an over stock then to have not enough :) despite it u can always turn them into soups so they never spoil :)
If you go from your place behind the fishing docks to the place where the stranded jeep is, you will find even more. So just keep your eyes open and get what Mother Nature has in store for you.
You can also build planters where you can grow your own banana plants. Use them and you will be fine :)
Again, keep your eyes open.
There are about 4 or 5 banana plants in the near vicinity of the fishing docks. And if you go from the docks along the big river in eastern direction and cross the smaller side arm of the river there, there are even more banana plants. So look around and open your eyes.
Edit: typos and phrasing.
