You are right it is poison not venom :)
Use stone traps, then you can pick them up easily. ;)
If this is survival game not story do so at your own risk, they are poisonous you can spear them use bow to shoot at them dont eat even when cooked. Take lots of pills
Was it my fault? Yes. Is it silly we can't do this to non-poison frogs? Also yes.
The first time I played on Anaconda Island, I dropped a large stone & somehow ended up punching a dart frog at the same time. You can survive it if you have enough supplies to treat the toxin & fever (the former will require replacing the first bandage w/ a second, once the bandage icon disappears).
The same could apply to just picking up curled up small armadillos or turtles and just stuffing them in your pack, and I'm sure most of us catched crabs and fishes with their hands in reality.
Why can't you throw obsidian stones? Why can't you build a fire with 8 small sticks and 6 normal sticks?
