Can't fill my bidon?

Yesterday, I could fill my bidon in the river, and then boil it or do whatever I wanted with it. When I restarted my game, I could no longer fill my bidon. I go into the river, open my pack, see the icon, and drag my bidon over the water. It makes the splashy sound, but, my bidon is still empty. I tried holding it down for a bit, I tried moving around with it, nothing works. Plz help a thirsty gal out!

Probably there's some residual of clean water. Right-click -> Spill - on the bidon.

if that doesn't work, then try filling it from a coconut bowl or something to get some water in it, then either drink or spill the bidon, then you should be able to fill it at the river again.

If anyone else has this problem, I wasn't letting go of my bidon in the water, where it indicates that you can fill it. I was manually putting it back in my backpack. You're supposed to let it go in the water.

i dont think this was a poor use case as love highlighted, if you have this issue again, try dragging it onto a lit fire, it reset mine correctly
