MORE SLOT IN MULTIPLAYER MODE

This game will more great if the multiplayer have more slot for player. like max 8 player in 1 lobby. because my personal opinion, 1 is the minimum slot(solo player) and 8 is the standart(for multiplayer). to be honest im a bit dissapointed about the slot (only 4 player max), because i already persuade all my friend (6 of them) to buy the game when co-op mode release. i know its not a good idea for some player, but im sure there's some player want to enjoy play this game with more friend in 1 lobby.
1 more thing, This is the "BEST" Survival game ever! because it almost 100% same with the real life in jungle. good job!

From what I've seen on the forums so far, I think at least 3 players already trivialize most of the survival mechanics the game very much revolves around. The co-op mode is apparently less than a week old and neither the map of the game, nor the base building mechanics are quite there for the multiplayer aspect. I think at the moment the game is at it's best played as a single player game.

EDIT: I would even argue that they really jumped the gun with the co-op mode.

yeah, but like what i said, its more fun if we have more option on player slot. because to be honest if we can play in 8, im sure more player will jump into the game, in the same time it help the dev to grow the game more more and more, and we(player) also can enjoy it play with friends. Because i think the only survival game which force us to survive.
and about gun, i think better keep the weapon be like this for now, bcs if they put gun on game, it can change the gameplay and all player will just run into the gun to get easiest animal farming.

Uhm, "to jump the gun" is an expression. I just meant that I think they released the multiplayer before it was ready.

I believe they got tired of hearing everyone whine and moan so they pushed it out, agreeably way too early but ya cant please everyone. Btw @ Papabear if you are looking for another option "Subsistence" is my swap to when then gets tiresome. This is a well polished solo game and MP has a long way to go give em time....

Yeah, the only thing stopping me from buying this game is the 4 players maximum slots. Really would love to play it if they increase it to 8 or more.

I have a group of five people (including myself) and totally agree with you. I would really like to play all together, but unfortunately i can't. maybe you know some mods to add more player slots (like in don't starve together)?

hopefully the dev would manage to add more player on this game. 8 is good. i feel sad when a great game like this only playable by 4 person. i dont think theres a Mod for this game, since this game purpose only for surive in the jungle, gather mats, farm, etc. unless they put some pvp in game, but it wont match with the game title xD

Out of your 6 friends at least half will quit because it's too hard for them. That will be 3 plus yourself, no worries!

Joking aside, I have to agree with some of the above posts, even with just 4 people survival is pretty much trivialized, hell at this point me and my wife pretty much never die anymore. Still enjoy the game though, and can't wait to play through story mode in co-op.

Is it possible to host a game with 4 people then have other people join in if some of the first players disconnect from the game? To reformulate, can the multiplayer session save more than 4 slots even though only 4 person can be playing at the same time?

Figuring out whether we should tell other friends to buy the game to join us or if we could never play together in the same save

Its only a peer to peer connection, so this is sure the Problem, if they use Servers then this makes sense!
