SAVING GAME - WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Hi there. I built a shelter. I clicked on it to save my game after collecting all kinds of things. Then logged off. When I try to log back into the game, I cant find the save, or every save I try to load I dont have my items and dont load where I built my shelter. I have tried 'loading' saved games as well as 'continue'. If I cant save, not worth playing for me. Think I'm probably missing something? How do I find/load my saved game? PLease advise.

Hi one side of the hut shelter has sleep the other side is save, if you coudl stand infront of the hut shelter where you see the cross bars look up a little do you save game? Press E to save then wait a few secs for the circle save to complete, it appears on the bottom right.
A few players have missed this and thought they had saved by sleeping. Hope you didnt lose too much.
There is also save at the roof of the modular shelter

Did you have to choose which slot to save in, when you were saving your game? If the answer is no then you were using it to sleep and never saved your progress (sorry you'll have to do all that stuff over again).

Ah, maybe I didnt choose a slot? Not sure. I clicked on the cross beam, which I think said 'save game' or something similar. I waited for the circle to complete, and thought it had saved. I dont recall being asked to choose a save slot. Oh well.

The only time I get asked to choose a slot is a new game start, and I am sure if he chose sleep the time bar for sleep would pop up and he would remember that.

Clicking somewhere doesn't save the game. You need to move close to the trigger until you see a message popping up on the screen saying: "hold E to save". So you need to do precisely that: hold E for saving.

At least this is how it works when using a keyboard. You didn't mention if you play with keyboard/mouse or if you use any kind of controller?

And if I remember correct, after you hold E there is a menu where you need to select the slot you want to use for your save.

This question keeps popping up. Maybe it's time for developers to take note and add saving in the tutorial or at least show the proper action positioned above/below the respective structures inside the notebook's blueprints.

So many games save by sleeping its easy to mess up if you havent played for a while (I just lost a few hours forgetting the save system in this game myself).
