Why would anyone be against using the dev console anyways? No one is being forced to do it, and if you want to experiment with something different there it is to push the limits of the game.
There's nothing bad on playing out of the box specially if you feel creative and want to skip some functionalities that has no relation with what you are doing.
Also, is not like the game needs cheats at all if that's the point of your reply, since you can choose to play in sandbox mode by disabling everything. But if you'd just read the original post we could save some explanations. Good luck!
We can only delete sets of things when in backpack. Littler on the ground just pick it all up and drop elsewhere.
I'm going to buy it to play coop with my brother lol, I was trying to avoid so many explanations but thought that mentioning that the coop mode is announced would in fact be enough to make it clear that we are going to have an individual copy with someone else instead of sharing the game, in this case with my brother, as mentioned.
Still, that's not what I'm asking, it is about the debug console use as long as there's nothing wrong with that.
For your brother afaik the game needs to be in his account name tied to him as ownership.
Just wondering for your sake as I'm not sure if he could log into into your account as well to play co op on a different PC. If I understand you :)
cheers
I hope that's all understandable?
Then I had to clarify that I mentioned it in regards of that I'm currently sharing the game with my brother and we expect to buy it again once coop is released so we play together instead.
The point of this thread however was to suggest and ask the devs about a deleting option in the same way we are able to spawn objects through debug console since you can actually press "i" to spawn anything you want from the available items listed but way more useful would be if we could remove stuff by hitting a single key.
I came with this idea because I've been playing a lot and now I'm focusing on trying different base builds specially in the Anaconda Island and I've been clearing all the vegetation.
Though I know the debug console is not meant to play the game but is still a fun alternative for an advanced gaming experience some times.
Thanks again though.
