Please get rid of snakes.

I'm so scared of snakes and they don't even give a warning sound until you've already been bit. I play this game by tapping w and scaning the area. I know snakes are part of the rainforest but I nearly have a heart attack when I see one in this game.

Snakes and other static threats are the least of your problems. You can at least try and use them to manage your phobia.

You will learn to manage your vitals effectively; the game needs some unpredictability in order to break off from monotony. It needs more unpredictable elements to be honest, like The Long Dark.

Be glad it's noob-fiendly rattlesnake that warns you on apprach. There could be variety of other rainforest snakes.

Ok guys, don't be harsh on the new guy. The jungle is definitly not friendly to people with phobias. Right now its a bug that you can't hear the rattle.
I think its hillarious how obvious they made a glow in the dark bird spider and that insects are outright noisy. Kinda wish scorpions made noise like that in real life having been stung by one.
Oh and snakes. Just be glad they don't move and keep a supply of tabaco laced bandages handy. :)

This is actually a thing. I remember when skyrim was coming out lots of people talked about wanting mods to change spiders into other things. I looked into it and it turned out there is a healthy modding community devoted just to removing spiders from games.
