Cooking Mama - Jungle edition
Hey everyone,

For everyone who is curious in the cooking mechanic in the game thus far, I have made a little list with things you could cook and with effects/ side effects you can achieve with it.
For those of you who wanna try yourself, just ignore this thread. If you wanna know though, Im gonna share my list of recipes for you riiiiight here!
Also thanks to oi__io for the contribution to the list!

First you need the cooking pot from the drug camp, fill it with some water and place it on a lit fireplace. You will need to fill it with water after every use. You can eat the stew/ soup twice befor eoyu will have to cook a new dish. The list is not complete yet, for example was I unable to catch a Leguan yet. So if anyone knows some more recipes feel free to add them.

Recipes/ effects

Smoked

Peccary Meat = 56 Protein + 15 Fat + 10 Energy
Arowana Meat = 26 Protein + 8 Energy
Peacock Bass Meat = 22 Protein + 8 Energy
Piranha Meat = 18 Protein + 8 Energy

Cooked

Capybara Meat = 60 Protein + 20 Fat + 15 Energy
Peccary Meat = 60 Protein + 16 Fat + 15 Energy
Jaguar Meat = 36 Protein + 15 Energy
Arowana Meat = 31 Protein + 10 Energy
Piranha Meat = 22 Protein + 10 Energy
Goliath Birdeater = 12 Protein - 5 Sanity

Meat soups

Mouse Meat = 12 Protein + 5 Energy
Capybara meat = 72 Proteins + 22 Fat + 15 Energy
Paccary meat = 65 Protein + 15 Fat + 15 Energy
Jaguar meat = 40 protein + 5 fat + 12 Energy
Rattlesnake meat = 15 Protein + 5 Energy
Macaw meat = 13 Protein + 12 Energy
Human meat = 5 Carbon + 10 Protein + 5 Fat + 12 Energy

Soups

Fish soup (Piranha) = 24 Protein + 12 Energy
Fish soup (Peacock) = 28 Proteins + 12 Energy
Maggot/ Larva soup = 8 Proteins + 5 Energy
Unknown mushroom soup = 5 Carbon
Yellow/ red mushroom soup = 2 Carbon

Brews

Fruit brew =5 Carbon
"Bone infusion" (Bones) = 15 Proteins + 10 Fat + 5 Energy
Cassava (unknown bulb long) soup = 50 Carbon + 10 Energy
Mystery brew (Heart of Palms?) = 40 Carbon + 10 Energy


What you SHOULDNT eat:
- Unknown fruit (white, looks more like a big flower)
- Raw meat from poisonous critters (scorpions/ tarantulas)

nice, some other helpful info is if you smoke your meat with the bamboo smoker the duration before it goes bad is 3 days instead of 1 and also ive left my soups on the fire for a few days and it hasn't gone bad either.

the smoked meats and 3 bidons full of good water will help you go out and explore for longer, even sleep overnight somewhere else before making the trek back home

Soup generally adds 20% to the total nutrient compared to when roasted. Also meat from scorpion and tarantula is completely safe to eat (just not raw). Some herbs can be cooked and it will provide curative against diseases such as poison or fever.

Hey thanks for doing this. I had similar idea but was still in the process of collecting more data before posting it. Here's what I have to add for soups:

Meat soups
Mouse Meat = 12 Protein + 5 Energy

Soups
Fish soup (Piranha) = 24 Protein + 12 Energy

Also a mystery brew that provides 40 Carbs + 10 Energy but couldn't remember what it was. Probably Heart of Palm?


And these are for smoked and cooked meat:

Smoked
