How to use Bamboo water purifier (filter)

There is a small white circle at top & bottom. Have tried placing charcoal & half coconut shell but cannot get it to work. Help please.

Using a bidon and gather a dirty or unsafe water mostly from river. Put in on top. Place another empty bidon at bottom. Wait few hours. You will get clean water

I do not understand posts like this. Have you never used a brita filter in real life? Or a coffee machine? Who does not know you have to put water in the top? That's common sense 101

for hard mode, its rain rarely falls and its much easier to filter it

The rain eventually stops so don't be so quick to write off all methoods of obtaining and cleaning water.

I tried this function the other day and gave up lol, i managed to snap the bidon on top with dirty water, but the game won't allow me to snap another empty bidon at the bottom. The only thing that worked for me was snapping on a half coconut shell on the bottom, haven't tried the pot though.. although it rains that much my coconut shells give plenty of rain water

I am in day 25 & the rain stopped like a week ago so what i do now is fill a bidon at river with dirty water then boil it on a fire.
