What exactly is the purpose of water filter ? You can just drop coconut bowl lol

Rain seems to have made clean water super easy + the excessive amount of coconuts. I think it will be balanced out in the future where water filter to clean out the dirty water will be more useful.

Also at some point it completely stops raining. The water filter makes it easy to fill the canteen fully with clean water, instead of having to boil water and move tons of coconut bowls around.

Some people say Jan is the dry month where there is 0 rain. I have not reached that point yet in game. Can anyone confirm?

I've seen people say day 22, I'm on 22 and it hasn't rained but it's fairly common to not rain for a bit so I couldn't give you a hard yes or no.

The coconuts-turned into Bidons- can carry 40 water.The Pan you find at the Cocaine camp, will hold 30 units of water,making having a supply/stock of fresh water easy enough.

Yeah, I know about other methoods of obtaining and storing clean water. If the raid does stop at day 22 then you'll only ever be using coconut bowls for making soup, which is why I said I could toss the shells.

If you place a container (coconut shell, metal pot) at the base of a waterfall it fills with clean water.
Not sure if this is intended but non the less handy!

I’m on day 24 (Jan 4?). It’s rained for about two days straight.


You empty dirty water from the canteen at the top of the filter. Water collects in the bowels at the bottom. It’s pretty useless as bowels fill from rain and it rains all the time.

No, it doesn't. Trust me, about day 20-24 rain will stop. I'm for 40 days without any rain right now, so everybody should think about another way to get fresh water.

I agree 100%, they really need to prepare for it because water will become much more an issue :D

I fill coconuts with water from water sources (whole after I drank the coconut juice) and Bidon versions and pour into the water filters, have a pan and coconut bowls at bottom then I fill the emptied coconuts with the filtered water. I have put a hold on playing until a few things are fixed (clutter, weird bug with losing sanity etc) Waiting patiently for some more things to be put in :):) I Like the game though!
