Is it me or can you not scoop water out of a water sorce to boil it? anyone figure out how to do this?

it would be nice if you where next to water and could hit use on the coconut shell though! seems like a lot of people are having a harder time figuring out how to fill.

Collect water in coconut bidon (1 coconut + rope), start a fire, place coconut bowl on fire and then drag bidon over bowl. Complicated but it works.

Yeah I haven't figured out how to do this either. It's stated you can boil water to make it safe. but when I found a cooking pot and tried to fill it, it didn't work. I even dropped it in the water so it was fully submerged and picked it up, no dice. Maybe using the coconut canteen? I haven't tried to fill it with dirty water, only managed to fill it with the coconut shells so far. If coconut shells are the only way to fill anything then it takes away the need to boil anything at all...

I dont think boiling works in the cooking pot which is kinda sad but hopfully they can add that in future. idk maybe i am wrong and it just hasnt worked for me yet. i did use a cooking pot to catch water unter a water collector tho and that was great.

There has to be a way to collect it, you can place the pot near the fire and it will state boiling. But everytime ive put it there it was full of rain water which was already clean.

Yes it does work. It isn't complicated. It's sad that you people can't figure this stuff out. If you have a bidon, walk over to the water,drag the bidon over the water, you'll see a little icon appear like when you put food on a fire,etc. Drop the bidon onto the little icon and it will fill with water and hop back into your inventory. Now go back to the fire and either set coconut bowls on the fire or a cooking pot. Drag and drop the bidon over the bowls or pot to fill them. They will now boil and then you can drink them. If you don't have a coconut bidon to carry water you can go to the edge of the water with the metal cooking pot and and drag and drop it onto the water to fill it. Then you have to open your inventory and mouse over the pot while it's sitting on the ground and carry it back to the fire that way. For some reason if you fil the pot with water and then try to put it in your inventory it will spill all of the water out.

You need to craft Bidons.
Remove green husk then drink it then craft the round brown coconut with 1 rope.
Where are you on the map, using your smart watch scroll wheel to coordinates.
Look at the trees in your environment see any coconut trees?
Find the drugs camp and you'll get the water collector BP.
