Brazilian Wandering Spider uses ? And stone trap question

Anyone figured out what to do with those ?
Wasn't able to add in a soup, food poisonning while eating it raw and (if my old memory serves still a little bit) wasn't able to harvest nor cook...
Did I miss someting ? did I try at a time my game bugged ? (had issue nearley at the same time with soups)

I cought that on a stone trap, that doesn't seem to catch anything else than that.
So I guess I need to move my trap in an other location to catch something else right ?

You can cook it but it will also give you food poisoning. Maybe it has same use as goliath spider, burn it to ashes and combine with bandage. Haven't tried it myself.

Hi mate, try cook him until it is burned :) after that you can make a bandage with his ash :) or harvest... i'am not sure now. But on 100% you use him for bandages. Or you can make a normal ( big ) trap for animals and get him on place like bait.

Ok great, thanks for that tip, wasn't aware of that ash trick.

Does it have a different use from regular fire ashes ? or simply replace it in case you don't have ashes on you and not beeing able to wait for the fire to be totally burned ?

Dunno about the effect, it's hard to test difficult wounds here becouse they tend to kill you fast :D

Ok then, will test on my side lol.
I play on easy while learning the game's ins & out, and I did survive 1 Goliath Birdeater Spider and 2 snakes bites in the same freaking day lol... fortunately my backpack was full of tobacco badages lol.

Besides all that, thanks for all answers, my game must have glitched at the time I tried to use that wandering spider, because today I could totally cook it.

I believe this ash bandage is for bleeding wounds from jaguar or puma, but you need to stitch the wound first with ants. I had ants and survived severe bleeding but didn't have any ash dressing and I couldn't apply simple bandage.

Old post, but players like me might like to know you cannot make bandages out of this type spider even after burning it.
I found this post looking for answers, tried it, failed.

No idea what this spider is for yet.

Goliath Spider cooked till burnt then harvest for the black sap looks like a patch this can be used to craft Goliath Bandage not the Brazilian wandering Spiders.

Brazilian Wandering Spiders have no use at this time. Maybe in the future as a venom dip for arrows and spears. Who knows.
For now
It can be cooked on a fire and eaten for 4 Protein and -5 Sanity.
It is usable as a bait in Traps.
Thats all.
But lookout for their bite as you can hear it scratching noise.

You should put the Stone trap near an area where lizards spawn

They are just crappy food. If you are playing on easy it will just feed you. On higher difficulty it will lower your sanity to eat them. Just use ordinary ashes for ash bandage to save a step.
