Green Hell - Wishlist. What you would like to see in the game.
Hello everyone!

We are happy with game reception! A lot of cool ideas are being posted on forum, and it seems that the time is right to make official thread.
Amazon Rainforest is fascinating place with a huge variety of animals, insects, plants and wonders. We can make only a handful of them so we would like to hear which one is your favorite. It’s so many that we may not know them all!
Other than that Green Hell is a survival game, so let us know what you would like to see in such a game. Boiling and filtering water? It's here!

So..

The basic rules are:

Keep it short and simple.
If we do not like reading ideas, we still have to focus on making the game :) So we will not be able to read design docks / or overextended posts. Just keep it simple
Ex. "I would love to hunt a capybara"

Don’t comment on others idea
It’s a list, not a discussion. You can be inspired to quote and diversify someone's ideas, but this is not a place to comment on whether you like something or not. All ideas are welcome here.

We also wont comment.
It’s a waterfall thread for ideas. We are gonna read each one of them (if you follow rules ) but wont comment on it here. Otherwise it would be a uncontainable chaos! But still, it does matter and I encourage you to brainstorm, who knows, maybe next update will include your idea? :)

There should be a mechanic where you should be cautious when harvesting certain or any animals near your home base because in real life when predators smell fresh blood in the area they would check it out in case of finding injured prey. You can also use this mechanic to possibly trap predators.

A deep indigenous tribe mechanic. You can become friendly with certain tribes/gain their trust etc.

This game going to need wind. Like if the wind is coming from your back and you are looking at an animal. the animal is going to smell you and run away. So knowing were the wind is coming from is very important. Another thing that is adding camouflage into the game using leaves, sticks, mud etc.

Agree with him, it'll bring more mechanics to the gameplay and the hunt system.

1 - I would love not seeing fire weapon in the game.

2 - We need to see a real living ecosystem. Seeing animals interact with each other, with a life cycle system.
Ex. Seeing a mother jaguar with three little cubs, or a family of capybaras.

3 - Male/Female gender for the fauna. Ex. Male jaguars can be taller and bigger than females, more muscular : So more powerfull, so more dangerous for the player. Male dart frog can be more colored... All that kind of stuff called sexual dimorphism.

4 - Tracking system. Ex. Footsteps leaved by an animal like poo etc...

I know, I know, that's a lot of wishes and I maybe broke the 1st rule but.. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Early access

When it is release the dev will find that the world is too small and limited. The Long dark will out beat this game in content and difficulty. Players will want to see more so the game can go on for years to come. This is not the Forest where its very simplistic.

3 months too short not enough time to exp a rich survival world
Need longer early access such as 4 years or more to get more feedback
More frequent updates
Nothing in the game need to be finalize
More content can be updated just like the long dark
After early access the dev do not need to keep putting out frequent updates so early access is very important.


More Maps

if simulation is going to be too simplistic then it will need more maps to not lose interest. So if single map it needs to be complex so does not get boring.

Animals

1. Do not want animal to spawn want them to be in the forest so they are limited amount of different ages of animals in the game. So like to see them grow and realistically move around for their needs and even be aggressive.

2. Like to see the developer put research into this and develop a food chain of the forest of what lives in the amazon forest. Another challenge for players to learn these things while in the forest!

3. Animal realistic behavior will take too long to be implemented so hope they can have general behaviours. And don't make it too realistic or the animals will always stay away from humans. They need to be smarter then real life.

4. I will send the Ai software details to your email address! :) I hope you can use it!

5. Please have rivers that is alive too with real living fishes in it! Keep fishing in the same area and the fish will learn as they do in real life and will not want to be in the area any more and escape some where else.

6. Fish are hard to get and rivers are muddy so you will need to spend time hunting them down! Sting rays live in muddy areas and not easy to find they do not live near the shore.

This is an addon to my suggestion: Becoming familiar/friendly with other tribes CAN potentially let you learn/unlock native ways to gather various resources!

A PLAYER CREATED MAP/ ARMOR SYSTEM

Player must create their own map
Ingredients:
Charcoal and Leaf
or
Pencil and Paper

Allow the player to:
-Draw (freely)
-Add Text

Armor System

Wood Armor to cover Arm,Leg,Chest in the body inspector. Protect from animals or tribe wepons.
Maybe just a Wood shield

1- Me gustaria que el juego implemetara fisicas con su entorno, movimiento de hojas , ramas , crujidos produciendo daños corporales en determinadas zonas.
2-Mas inteligencia artificial al entorno animal. peces huir cuando el protagonista se acerca o entra al agua.
3-Progreso del juego lento.
4-Enfermedades producidad por el exceso de humedad, inflamaciones, pie de trinchera.
5- Ataques de insectos (mosquitos, sanguijuelas etc,arañas).
6- Craft de apositos, remedios vegetales, fabricacion de unguentos etc.
7- dificultad para hacer fuego (producido por humedad y lluvias) . Posterior a una lluvia o torrente de agua, todos los recursos madereros de la selva tienen un tiempo de mojado que impide hacer fuego.
8- incremento de los niveles del agua y desbordamiendo de rios producidos por el agua.
9- implementacion de caña de pesca improvisada para intentar pescar sin auyentar a los peces.
10- elaboracion de lanza manual, palo inicial lo haces girar con boton "A y D " del teclado para girar y con click raton das forma de punta.
11-enfermedades: dengue, malaria, mal de chagas, rabia, neumonía, la faringitis y la bronquitis.
12- higiene personal.
13- uso de repelentes natuales contra mosquitos, uso topico o rociados en el refugio.
