Day 61, 30 days of no rain!
Is it a bug or am i in a dry season? I've got used to the environment and am surviving quite well with my massive base but i'm just wondering if it's supposed to not rain for so long, or is it a bug?

I dunno, I haven't seen rain in ages either, it might well be a dry season, it's a good thing that you can fill the mud water filter manually but the downside is baths in a dirty river because no water for the shower. :steamsad:

From what I read in a related guide. "complete survival guide" or something along those lines.

"Q: Why no rain? or Why too much rain?
A: After the first 20 days, the game would start to either go full on dry, or go full on wet, then switches between the two for the whole week or longer."

If it's not changing, then it may be a bug, or very bad RNG

Well those collectors you can build actually supply water without rain, so as long as you build at least two for your base, it's all good i think.

Lebowski Im pretty sure you're in dry season I think that starts on like Day 20-30 Dont remember now on second save. Im on 74 of new save and I hit dry season about 70 I think.

The Water update back in Dec 2018 I believe was when Creepy Jar decided to change our seasons falling inline with the real Amazonian jungle which has only 2 seasons wet and dry.
No winter or Spring.
So now its quite a long period of mud trudging and then a long period of no rain.
It feels like about 6 months.
Game time hard to say to me it is at least a 100 days.
I just played one village for 98 days and there was no rain at all.
Went to Anaconda Lagoon and its sporadic on off constantly then after about 14 game days full on.
Has anyone noticed that as soon a small fire is lit outside it rains :steamhappy:

Small fires summon the rain gods of the Amazon didnt you know lol.
This was highly noticed in the challenges.

In my case, it stopped raining around day ~20. I will see how it goes, but if the intention was full realism, then it is a bug. The Amazonian rainy season is roughly 6 months long, December to June.

My impression is that once it stops raining ingame, it stays that way. Did anyone here ever got through the "dry season"? As in it resumed rainign afgter a prolonged no-rain period?

After my initial post, the rain came back roughly 20-25 days later

Yeah the dry season is a thing, by that point I guess they expect you to have obtained recipes for water collection that don't require rainfall. It also seems to force the getting dirty mechanic on you real hard, though it's still trivial since parasites hardly do anything to you and there are multiple ways of dealing with it instantly.

Yeah well, my base is pretty big atm and i think i have all recipes, but i dont have the metal flask thing yet!

Just wondering how long it will be before i get bored haha

Dude I just started playing this game again, and never played past like day 25 on my old saves, and I had a legit week of rain that never stopped, and after somewhere around day 20/Jan 1, I haven't had so much as a heavy cloud. I have relogged so many times and thought maybe the game was glitched.

I had absolutely no idea about this lol, makes me look forward to the rainy season again! Especially after the rain stopped IMMEDIATELY after I finished building a pretty big base built around constant rainfall lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one lol, I'm on about week two of no rain so far (I think)

So, I came across this thread today because I had the same issue, and on day 22 of no rain, the Rain Gods blessed me lol. There's some other comments that explain that there are rainy/dry seasons, and I've had three days now of continuous on-and-off rain. I'll make another mark of how long the next dry season is.
