How are you guys revealing the actual names of the plants in Survival Mode? Story mode revealed a few after finding some notes/books (such as quassia mara), but in Survival Mode practically everything besides Molineria is listed as "Unknown" in the Notebook. Is there any way to "reveal" the actual names to the Notebook?

After you plant it and harvest it, the name is also updated

I've harvested the flower but it doesn't have a decay timer, which led me to believe it would never dry out. Do you know how long it takes to dry?

put it on the dryer, it doesnt take long

My first one is almost done...it's turning into one of the trees that produce long sticks...but not logs

I have a fruiting Banana tree, and a unknown orange fruit, but I didn`t know aboout the stick tree! I think Tobacco will be very helpful too. Has anyone found animal droppings yet? I have not and I have two areas full of wildlife, but no dropping.

I've been reading YouTube comments and a few folks reported that it took about 4-5 hours to find one pile of dookey. No thanks, hopefully they will adjust it but if not I'll just use rotting fruit.

The easiest rotten fruit to use is the Orange Unknown fruit. It rots faster. They have said that there will be a hotfix to increase the doodoo,..lol I did find some, and returned to the spawn area again but no more. It gives 100% fertilization which is great.

What I read from Creepy Jar was that they are intending to add a hotfix, adding a buzzing fly sound to clue us into the animal dropping spawners. I have no idea what the spawners are supposed to look like, but at least we know what they're going to sound like :-P

I tried rotten guanabana as fertilizer and it wouldn't accept it. Rotten mushrooms are the only fertilizer I've been able to use. Will try the orange fruit, but it's so much more rare than mushrooms

I used rotten bananas and grew the orange fruit,...)

Honestly, I don't see any reason for fertilizer at all. All my plants grow very well even without fertilizer. The only thing I can imagine is that they might grow faster with fertilizer, that's all.
Besides, I really think that these plants only make an already simple game easier. I planted a few different plants just to see how it works. The banana plant takes quite a long time to produce new fruit after I've harvested it. As I said, I expect these fruits to grow much faster with fertilizer. But I have several wild banana plants near my camp and I can go there and get fruit whenever I want. The same goes for any other fruit or herb. I only walk around near my camp, I don't have to go far. I just keep my eyes open and find everything I need in a very short time. So I think these cultivable plants are just for convenience.
