Map in survival?

I have beaten the story mode and got both endings, and now I am playing around in survival mode...can I find the map and access the same areas or am I stuck in the areas from the demo with no map?

I really want to set up my main camp in the research area or at the big tribal camp..

I found a map at the drug lab in survival, the first burned one, have not explored further yet but makes me think the rest also exist in survival mode.

where about was it at the drug lab? I have been there and didn't see it, but I am so used to just running threw there to get the pot and leave I may have missed it.

Whut? When at the drug lab make sure to get the water collector and the killer trap! As well as the food. Most important the HOLY WOODEN SPOON!

But seriously I found it in one of the chairs by the camp fire. Not sure if it is static or if it is random every game.

You can find the map at the drug camp, and the grapple hook at the jeep. However, when you use the grapple hook at lambda-2 and advance to the ruins where you then cross through the canyon. The canyon doesn't have any way to get across. So you are stuck at the first map for survival. The tree to get across doesn't get added until after you do the vision in the story and it seems for survival without the vision the tree doesn't get added at all.

don't you have to repair the rope bridge to get to second part of the map in survival?

37, 20 gets you to the second map and 32, 26 to 27, 25 gets you to the third map. Happy hunting!
