find climbing equipment

Good morning,

I'm having a dickens of a time finding the climbing equipment. I've run around that small area several times, I checked several caves, checked camp, anyone got a blues clue on where its at?

climbing gear is at the gold mine, you need to go past the jeep to get there and aquire the fuel from it, and the drug lab to me looks very very similar to before they've added cages taken down a few tarps and moved the water catcher, but apart from that the main buildings haven't moved

Climbing Gear is indeed at the airfield behind a padlocked door and NOT the gold mine (Gold Mine is the Grappling Hook)

Do you speak about Story Mode or Survival Mode?
I found the hook in survival mode at the Jeep.

Can you give a little hint where we should search for that airfield? I guess it's new because I never saw an airfield in the game before the release.

ok, I found out what I was missing. After reading the comments I was all like "well, WHERE is the gold mine?" but if you're asking yourself this question you're thinking too far ahead. What you REALLY need to be doing is getting gas from the jeep, and then going to the elevator, where you find gold mine and then the f'in climbing equipment

Elevator 40W 18S - find the entrance on the south side of that big damn mountain in the way and you'll find the elevator. Don't forget the gas from the jeep!

Yes and you can go back many times never runs out of fuel.. Quite fun to ride it.

Folks are confusing the climbing equipment with the grapleing hook. If you are looking for the grapleing hook it is at the Gold mine as stated. It is used to climb up some small clif faces. There is also climbing equiment that is needed to decend into and later to climb back from some areas. The first piece of climbing equipment is at the airfield at 28, 23.,in a locked building. The key is on the radio in another building.,... later you will come to a place in the wet lands that requires even better climbing equipment,..

My games bugged and it wont even let me pick that key up, just constantly says press e for radio.
