I did it in the stone circle and opened up the area with the Cayman and the camp. There's a lot of food and notes in the camp, I read it all, but I have no idea what to do next

Yeah I am stuck in that area, too. I found a wall where you need a pistol grappling hook. But don't know where to find it.

follow joakims advice do the ritual it will lead u to the painted cave door when u trip and continue thru the story u will wake up in the cave look around there
