Fastest way to incrase Crafting Skill?
So far I just go into bamboo fields and just make bamboo spears with all the Long Bamboo Sticks, but after lvl 50 I need to literally contruct over 20 spears just to obtain 1 level and gets a little bit slower, crafting Iron Tools won't reward you with more skill points neither, so anyone has a tip or is just set as you need to build an especific ammount of items to reach max lvl no matter what?

I have to ask... why? I am seriusly curios why reaching max skill is so important?

First of all, you unlock new recipies the higher your lvl is, then you can actually craft really durable stone/bone tools at crafting lvl 50-60 reaching about 80-90 durability, but when it comes to iron even with crafting like 60 you will only make iron armor/tools/weapons with 40-50 durability.

I was not trying to insult you! I apologize if you thought so! I just play in a different way. Survival is all, stats mean nothing! XD

I use what works and do not care about numbers.

Well for me survival gets a bit boring if there is no challenge, I am playing on Green Hell difficutly and I just want to level up Crafting quickly and then make a full set of iron armor with a few empty cans I found, but not gonna really make the armor until I do not reach atleast lvl 50 crafting for with some luck get the full set at 50% Durability, a full set of Armor guarantess your survival pretty much as the trive man would have to hit you several times, and I never get wounded, not even by stepping on snakes or whatsoever.

The main way to improve durability is crafting the same item several times.

AFAIK it works something like this:
(Crafting Level) + (Some diminishing value * Number of Times Crafted) = Durability

Example:
  • Your crafting level is 30. You craft an item for the first time. Durability: ~30-35
  • Each time you craft the same time again and the durability increases each time. E.g. 30, 35, 40, 45
  • As you get closer to 100% durability, the progress slows down. E.g. 70, 72, 73, 74..

I'm not sure, but I'd guess that your crafting level decides how high your max crafted durability can go. I crafted a lot of hand drills to level, but could not go past 90% durability. Did some more later when my skill was higher, and I was able to get +1% every few crafts up to 100%.
