Malanga plant not always giving bulbs?

I'm having an issue where about 2 out of 3 times when I cut down a Malanga plant, it doesn't give a bulb. Anyone else seeing this?

Yes, i had the same issue. But i guess it´s intended.

IIRC it will only give a bulb when you can see a smaller yellow leaf, indicating a mature plant. Can't say I've ever cut one that had the little yellow leaf that didn't give a bulb. Then again, I haven't played a whole lot since the new updates, so maybe the devs changed it.

Never had this behavior before the 1.0 update, I always got the bulbs from these plants. I've seen the smaller yellowish leaves, thought there was maybe some kind of maturation mechanism, but even with those leaves sometimes I get no bulb (I'm pretty sure). I will look again when I see them to see what kind of differences I can spot.
