So you wanna fight Lilith
In "The Depths" lies an unspeakable evil. Lilith. After slaving your way cutting down OgoPogo level Super Bosses. You meet Lilith.

So your party has to be at a minimum of level 20 to enter the depths, I recommend you enter at level 30 as to make life easier. You can enter "The Depths" at level 24 though it will be a struggle and a half.

You can find "The Depths" at "Deepforge 2", what ever happened to Deepforge 1 is a complete mystery to me. Go to your upper left and follow the path down, after dropping down a whole your in "The Depths".

Lilith is at the very end of the Depths. You DO NOT get an achievement for defeating Lilith. You do get Chaos, an endgame sword that Ruth can use similar strength to Ascended Sylvanaras.

Chaos Stats:
Strength +54
Spirit +16
Luck +35

It's recommended that you face Lilith at level 50, though the closer you are the better. I beat Lilith at Level 48.

Equipment you NEED to have in order to beat Lilith

Ruth:
Ascended Sylvanaras
Valiant Defender
Banner of Strength
Banner of Victory
Ankh
Lightbringer

Stray:
Celestial Harp
Galeforce Bow
Triple-headed Arrows
Boots of Ludicrous Speed (real name)
Heavenly Flute
Enchanted Quiver
Headshot Quiver

Uno:
Spinebreaker
Fist of the North Star
Magirock
Scroll of Enduring

Gwen:
Catastrophe
Golden Essence
The Oculus

As you see you will be doing a lot of switching equipment with Ruth and Stray. You need their buffs to beat Lilith.

So you are at Lilith. What do you start with. First make sure your party is healed up and their mana is full. Second, Ruth should be using the Trinket "Lightbringer" first. Divine Shield is no use to you if you equip Lightbringer AFTER the fight starts. Ruth HAS to have Lightbringer equipped first. Stray needs the Celestial Harp equipped first, you're going to need "Song of Celerity" to be your first move with Stray.

Lilith has two phases. The first phase I call the "Goddess" phase. Lilith switches between Buffs during this phase. During Liliths "Goddess" Phase she can use the buffs; Stone Skin (Which boosts both earth attacks and defense for 3 turns), Ice Absorption, Fire Absorption, Lighting Absorption, Speed, Defense, Strength, and Magic all randomly and in random order. It's hard to find a weakness so keep hitting her with everything you got. BUT BE WARNED, if Lilith uses her Magic buff (indicated by a healing sign) she can reflect your magic back at you (I had a couple of wipes because I wasn't paying attention). During Lilith's "Goddess" phase she can also use the spells Meteor, Fallen and Ivory Slash. Fallen and Ivory Slash can one shot if your party are not full health. Lilith can use Fallen OUT OF TURN. She does this a lot so keep your party HP full.

Lilith's second phase, which I call "Summoner", will kill you if your not ready. Lilith's "Summoner" phase is triggered when Lilith's health goes about 55-65%. A 10 point margin of error, but it's definitely not 50%. In her "Summoner" Phase Lilith will begin with the spell Summon. Lilith will summon a Phoenix, Shinobi, Albino Kobold, Heretic, Returned and Toxatrice. They will move first and they will kill you if your party HP is not full.

When you start the fight with Lilith use "Divine Shield", "Song of Celerity", "Bide", and "Empowered Mead". Now use "Empowered Mead" on Gwen, not anyone else, and only use it once. Keeping the buff up can mean a party wipe. After the first turn, switch Ruth's "Lightbringer" to "Banner of Victory" and Use "Victory Shout". Also Use "Hyperfocus", "Seventh Gate" and "Mega Party Brew". After the second turn and until the second phase Gwen will be on healing duty. Use "Party Brew" until "Mega Party Brew'"s buff runs out. Continue to reapply buff when ever it runs out regardless of what phase your in. After you successfully apply "Song of Celerity" Swap Stray's equipment to "Galeforce Bow", "Triple-headed Arrows" and "Enchanted Quiver". Swap back to Celestial Harp and Heavenly Flute as needed. After you use "Victory Shout" switch to "Banner of Strength" so you can start applying the "Battle Shout" buff.

After getting Lilith to 65% (just to be safe) she will use "Summon". She will summon a Phoenix, a Shinobi, a Ablino Kobolt, a Heretic, a Retuned, and a Toxatrice. They will attack first. If you have been following this guide you should be prepared for this already. Heal if you need to, if you don't tell Uno to use "Poison Bomb" If you can use "Nuke" from Gwen as often as possible, it helps clear out the mobs. After this switch Ruth back to "Lightbringer" and use "Blessing of Light" for the buff, then switch her back to Banner of Strength and switch back and forth as necessary. Use "Rapid Shot", "Brutal Shout", "Shadow Dance", and "Nuke" and liberally as you can. After you clear the mobs with minimal deaths (hopefully cuz your party is going to die during this phase), Lilith will start using "Meteor" out of turn as well as "Fallen", randomly. Also Lilith will start using a new spell out of turn after you clear out the mobs, "Judgement". Keep party health full or you will die. If Gwen dies DO NOT PANIC, switch Ruth's current equipment to Ankh and resurrect her while also using "Hymn" and "Mantra" for heals. Use "Hymn" as often as possible to remove status effects. If Gwen and Ruth die at any point before you clear the mobs, give up, you won't survive long enough to save them both, even with Golden Lifepowder.

If you do everything as I say, plus of course ATTACK. You will be able to win this fight. Good luck!

Edit: Added in the part where Gwen dies.

PS. Use items if you need to, they can save you from wiping.

PSS. Remember to use "Flash of Light" if either Ruth or Gwen are about to die to save them. If they die you die.

Thanks for adding another quick boss guide.
But as I have already written in my guide, I would save the Divine Shield to the summoning. You can grind greatly and fast in this dungeon, though you don't have to speed run it.
I can't remember what level I was but I know I got wiped out by the summoning more than once.
Defeating the mage first was the key to survival.

I saw this post and I had no recollection of this boss, so I loaded a save to see if I fought it. I have the sword, so I guess I did. I was lvl 44 at the most, since that's my lvl in my last save.

What I don't have apparently is Ascended Sylvanaras and there is even an achiev for it. How did I miss that?

Beat her my first try at level 45. What I want to know is who was pulling her strings, and what's up with the empty meditation room? Is there anything to it? Or am I missing something?

Lilith is not so bad at levels 40+ The real problem are her minions. If they all decide to focus on one character, that character is gone. Also once she's low on health, she starts spamming very powerful attacks, so you need to end it quickly.

Thanks for commenting! I didn't see a Lilith Guide, so I must have missed yours. For some reason, I only saw the two Super Boss guides, it seems like Lilith is either too hard to get to or is not as memorable a fight. So I made this guide.

Also I felt like Divine Shield loses its value the deeper into the fight you go, but maybe that was because I was playing on the hardest difficulty, or im just really bad at jrpgs lol.

Ascended Sylvanras is such a hard sword to get, I would even get Chaos first if I knew that it existed before facing Lilith. It's honestly such a chore to get Ascended Sylvanaras.

I haven't played the other games in the series so I'm going to guess that is answered in one of the games like the black tower one or the one that shows Uno's backstory. I hope to do a complete play-through on twitch sometime soon.

yeah Lilith is an easy boss but her moves tend to one shot if you're not careful, it gets annoying after like the 10th wipe, which is why i recommend level 50 for the fight so that people have an easier time with her.

You should know that Lilith can make your old tactics invalid in the Enhanced version.
And my Lilith Guide is part of the full guide.
