Space Spam part too hard

I'm at the area where I need to spam the space button to get away from the leopard and I am stuck. I'm trying to press space enough times but I still can't complete it in that time frame. Can anyone give me some tips to finish that part?

You can use Z together with space for more mashing power.
If it's the room in the vents with Puro's map, you can actually skip that room entirely, it's enough to have seen the map in real life, the player character doesn't need to see it.

Thank you all but I end up finding out that I can literally skip this part by just not going to that room.
