Do I have to start all over?

So I got to the generator room and the room behind that is where Puro betrays you. I can't get past this part because its that's where my last save is so do I have to start over again or am I suppose to do something to stop Puro from betraying me?

If you haven't talked to Puro alot during your game, and thanked him during the course, he'll betray you.

And if you're on easy mode, he'll always betray you.

#1 you have to play on normal for all endings apart from betrayal #2 there are 4 scenes where you can talk to Puro and that will let you continue, 1. ask puro for the password (NEEDED) then use the password on the door and return and choose the thankyou option (dont forget to save afterwards. 2. when you go into Puro's little room you need to sit on the mat and listen to Puro's story (Just dont forget to save... maybe multiple times if you forget) 3. when Puro saves you from the doggo in the vents, you have to talk with him and say thankyou (this ones easily missable) 4. After dealing with the shark boss, you need to talk to puro and say yes to resting with him. with those 4, you can then proceed with the game normaly..... that is until you reach the next part where you just always have to talk to purro and pick the thankyou options as well as escorting him back through a room, then you will get the 3 possible good/bad endings. yea, I know it's a lot.

That really sucks because I did ALL of this but didn't choose to say thank you the first time while playing on normal mode... asked questions instead only to not be able to say thank you, but yeah, thanks for this message

A simple guide
1. Play on normal
2. Get the pass from puro
3. After outrunning the tail for the second time thank Puro
4. While in puro's home rest with him
5. When puro saves you from the black doggo, thank him
6. After defeating the shark boss, rest with puro again
7. Once you reach the outside of that floor, save the game on two separate experiences, one as a normal experience and the other in case you reach another one of the ending and don't want to start over again.
