Paper?

Trying to craft the enchantment box, which requires a bookcase, which requires 3 books. Books are crafted with leather & common paper. Having trouble locating the recipe on how top make the paper. I assume I havent collected something necessary, as the paper recipe is alluding me. Any ideas on how to find this recipe, or what is needed to make paper?

find sugarcane and you will see how to make paper, sugarcane will be nearby the water

WOW .. I've gotten in before, but it was always in my storage and never had it in my inventory when searching crafting .. THANKS!

I think that is one of the few irritations with games like this, only showing recipes for items in your bag. But once the wiki is up to date, hopefully there will be a page of recipes.

yeah i had to literally throw in everything in my bag just to find a new item i can make lol or trying to remember that certain item that i want to make again so throw everything in my bag again, i try to write it down now in my own guide just in case i forget, but i keep forgetting to take notes lol

lol you can make an in-game notepad - have a feather in your bag with paper and leather. I only discovered it today and it's really useful as I keep forgetting where my outposts are ;p

Yeah I actually just saw that today too, if I could add so many notes then I’ll definitely use it thanks! Still though I really think once you unlock an item by crafting it, that the greyed out item should remain there so that you know what items you need to craft it.

I agree. It would be useful for the item to be saved so we can see the crafting requirements or the game automatically writes it down in a journal for easy reference. I understand for new items part of the fun is discovery, I just don't want to have to re-discover the same item multiple times.

I agree too - it makes sense to show discovered recipes but greyed out.
