Doors keep disappearing

Often when I spend time away from my house (mining or hunting) I come home and find my wooden door or doors have vanished, gone, disappeared. At first I thought it was monsters trying to break in while I was away but I put a fence around the house and that kept monster away from the house. Anyways, an odd thing to have doors disappearing and annoying to have to keep replacing them.

I have noticed this as well. It seems to happen on nights when there is a message about the night being special.

I always figured it was the Fantoms taking the door after teleporting in

I have noticed that at night the monsters bash my doors down and if I time it poorly and leave my house at night monster will spawn inside my yard and break down the doors thinking I'm still there. If I leave during the day and I stay away from home for days the doors are usually left alone. But, at night if I'm near my home, like under but near, or other side of a hill to my home, monster think I'm at home and spawn inside my yard or jump the fence and break down my doors to get at me even tho I'm not there. So, when I do get home the next day and all the monsters has gone it makes it appears my doors have vanished.

Same here. I've got so fed up making new doors I just block the gap with dirt now lol

Ok, if monsters are breaking the doors is there any way to keep monsters away from you doors? I have my house inside a fenced yard with lights in the fence and lights near the doors so why are monsters even near my doors or even my house?

Again, ok! So there are no way to keep monsters from you home? Will I walk out in my yard and find that exploding monster with a silly grin as he destroys a chunk of my home?

I have a similar problem, my built doors disappear as soon as I leave the game and join back in. I have tried a mod now with different doors, but they still keep disappearing without getting any goods I have used back... Maybe this is a bug, is there a way to report these?

Ghost, it would seem that monsters visit your house if you're near by cos the programing aint great and makes monster think you are at home altho you are not and only near by somewhere (like mining under your home). Aaaand, the monster break your doors down thinking you're home and they can kill you, hence the door being gone when you do arrive home. Iron doors, however, can not be broken so the question for you is, are your doors wood or iron? Cos if you are using iron door and they are disappearing then the whole explanation you just got for disappearing doors is as rubbish as the game.
