(holup did you say that team worked against legendary keepers what the fu-)
Magmarpillaar can be used trough the whole game is you have a team setup for it. I switched mine with the new Turtle because it also has the Fire Shield. But oh boy the Turtle is a whole different level of :" Wanna kill my team ? Well F you good sir heres a shield."
The turtle really is a direct upgrade from magma pillar, its also improved swimming+flying in one.
Also tar resistance. Not much to do with that but well.
This setup DOES have weaknesses. I don't have a good wind attacker in my main team (or water, but that's what Imori is for), I can't remove large numbers of debuffs easily (without antidote), and the Blob and Magmapiller are a bit fragile. But I had NO IDEA how far these three could take me.
Double burning desire with 5 burns on everything maxes out the shields every turn.
Replace it with any other reptile and it really kicks you in the defense because you don't have triple regeneration and shields for days.
It only lacks passive debuff removal and protect to prevent imori getting sniped to become god tier.
My team that beat most of the legendary keepers had a Steam Golem as a cornerstone. Never tried the new turtle as my golem did a lot of work.
Which to me speaks for the diversity the game has to offer. Certain monsters are specialized in getting 5 (or even 6) on certain champions, meanwhile the game allows you to play it through with basically a mixed team of mediocre monsters (on normal difficulty at least, haven't played Master yet)
