I found doing a NG+ Bravery + Rando run to be too spicy for me. You can even add permadeath on top of that if you're really crazy.
I would really just like to make master difficulty a little ahrder and I think it would be challenging enough for the comps that actually do really feel good to play.
From what you're saying it sounds like you know a lot about the game, so I think you'll manage just fine with a random squad of monsters. Your first Bravery run doesn't have to be on master either.
The other neat thing about the mode, especially if you use it in combo with the Randomizer, is that you can start the game with monsters you'd never have access to normally. In my first BraveRando I ended up getting Mad Lord in the Stronghold Dungeon.
You should really try doing a BraveRando. It's more fun than you might think and will test your game knowledge way more than just upping the HP and damage of the PvE encounters.
I'll try it tonight and do a run and see how it feels, thanks for the advice, I'll get back with you when I die horribly or start winning. =D
Guy who finished the game with just 3 Monsters anyways says what ?
No honestly now.
If you can beat the game with just 3 Monsters then taking Monsters away is something you shouldnt even notice. After all you took out all but 3 Monster yourself before. In fact that should add the challenge youre looking for because now youre at the mercy of RNG and when RNG wont give you any of your comps then thats good aint it ?
To be fair i just finished a complete random run .....it was easy. In fact the basic playtrough is harder. Why ? Everything is random even the Alchemist Teams and Chamion Monsters. Hell my last Boss was a damn Sheep......A SHEEP !
If it comforts you the difficulty of a pure random runs can be explained as followed:
" I used a damn Jeti as a Healer. For the whole run."
Sure the mode can sc.rew you over but for the most part its hilarious.
Well. The only other option i can think of would be doing Monster Type runs like for example Slime Only or Goblins only.
I mean, I could reccomend a few teams to you based on your preferred way of fighting? Brutus (Giant monkey, looks like Rajang from monster hunter) is always a good choice for a front liner. He does tons of dmg and is naturally tanky so you don't need to build much tank into him at all.
A big problem I had early on was worrying about defense too much. Targoat is the G.O.A.T. for a tank in the front line if you like that kind of play style. He spread charge stacks like no one's business.
Frost Slime is good in any group for just raw damage.
There are loads of combo's that really just kinda delete everything. I'm not saying I didn't struggle either there were plenty of fights that stumped me and did so to the point where it forced me to rethink everything and how to go at the fight. There is this secret ultra catzerker fight that I'm not sure when or how you make it open up, but it's basically a Catzerker cheating literally. And it's a boss with all kinds of unfair buffs and I beat him with just three non crit brutus with fingers crossed. I honestly have no clue how to beat that fight without just throwing your face at it and getting lucky crits.
This game was truly amazing and after they are done with the game they are almost finished with I hope they make a part 2 with more monsters and what not, this game was amazing, easily in my top 10, maybe top 5?
Some savants from the community have figured out how to beat him in one turn though.
If you want more info about how:
(L)Fungi + (D)G'rulu + (L)Troll
I don't know the exact builds but you use Fungi and G'rulu to load up the target with poison and armor break and then use Troll's "Poison Eater" to do obscene amounts of damage.
