How on earth do you beat will?
Okay so things were going well. Got some monster buddies, beat like three champion monsters. got a feel for the strategy stuff and workign towards them.

And then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will assraped me into oblivion. What the bleeding ♥♥♥♥? I can't help but feel this part is just pure cheating on the part of the game design. I am literally dealing with a situation where the enemy is both giving status effects that i cannot consistently deal with fast enough AND Get shields and protection that keeps me from eliminating the ones dealing with status effect.

In this case i have the wolf and fighting the frog and... HE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ POISONS YOU WHEN YOU ATTACK HIM.

I was really enjoying all of this until this part where i am just getting raped over and over again trying to beat him. I know i don't AHVE to but this isn't a guy i can see as 'oh of course i can't beat him'. I wouldn't mind if it was the older douchier dude, he has more experience and is a ♥♥♥♥. But this makes me feel like garbage that this little cowardly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can kick my ass.

Hey,

From your description it sounds like you're playing the demo version, so a couple points

- You're not required to beat him, it is optional
- The demo version is slightly outdated balancing wise, he was balanced down to be more beginner friendly in the full game

If you're looking to try to beat him in the demo (which is very doable) - here a couple tips:
- Make sure all 6 of your monsters have skills + equipment + food
- Don't pick too many active skill, passive skills are what makes your monsters strong overall (there are skill resetters if you're looking to change your monster's skills)
- Try utilizing a couple monsters as your 'supports' by either buffing, healing, shielding or debuffing the enemy
- Make sure your support monsters act first and your damage dealers last
- Make sure your equipment distribution makes sense: Support Monsters should equip defensive/utiltiy stat equipment, Damage Dealers should equip Attack/Magic/Crit gear.

i was playing him in the base game. i already bought it.

Oh he shouldn't have the passive skills you described, might be a bug introduced recently - we'll have to check

In any case: Feel free to try again obeying the above tips

buffing your team and debuffing the enemy team is a big part of the keeper duels. its always nice to have a unit that can remove buffs from them as well as a healer that can cleanse the debuffs on your team

The strat, which is likely what your asking is buff, debuff(Poison(frog if you can) and Fire(magmapiller)), Sustain (Shield and healing)

This aint Pokemon where you can brute force your way trough the game.

You have to play with buffs,debuffs,shields/heals there is no way around it. This game also HEAVILY courages playing with Team combinations. You said you play the Wolf right ? Then a crit based team would be optimal. Try getting your hands on the Healing cat its a crit healer and also increases crit for your team. A Yeti would also make an exellent Tank.

I got a Tengu and it one shot his frog. I five starred the golem with the bird, slime and wolf buff debuff damage combo. So when i fought will i had the slime. tengu and golem and it waxed him decently

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
