Did you dark shift or light shift your starter?

I dark shifted my lion! I don't even remember what the light shift ability was, but I thought the d-lion's would be useful (increasing benefit of equipment).

I mean your starter/koi/some champion are the only one you can't get dark/light variance out of the wild so it's best to shift them.

i L-shifted my wolf since i got an extra accessory slot. i figured that'd be more useful then the damage reduction from D-shift.

I light shifted my Toad, its just a few less extra stats for alot more power to allys
