Would you have preferred an English Dub?
It would have been nice but not a deal breaker.

I don't watch my anime in English for the full experience. You should feel the same

I recently played One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and 4 on Steam, rather than wasting my time watching the anime. At this point I really only wanted English sub. But given I play a lot of JRPGs with English dub, I think it would've been a nice option.

I would have liked it for my girlfriend to follow along with me because we watch One Piece in English dub but if I was by myself I prefer subbed.

I usually don't like subs just because I miss some of what is going on plus I'm dyslexic, so it's going to be a pain to read a long RPG game. But I really liked the demo even though I've never watched the show.

at least for me an en dub wouldnt matter, as I never grew up with one piece in english (Germany lol) making dubs in many languages tho is likely both not easy especially assembling all the voice actors especially after seeing that they are apparently bringing in stuff from as far back as alabasta which is 2001 in japan and likely still pre-2005 in other places.

Would be nice but its understandable, Bandai Namco is cheap with these anime games and it would've been very expensive for a big RPG. This game isn't even fully voiced in Japanese, they want to spend as little as possible it seems.

The fact this doesn't have an English dub is ridiculous. Why do they think people want to sit there and read every line of dialog like their playing a visual novel? I want to hear Luffy say in English gum gum...rocket or whatever he says lmao.

They said a while ago they were bringing back One Piece English dub, but then nothing happened. I watch English dub, mostly because I actually understand the language, and all the nuances, as well as all the things that come with speaking any language.

You do realize the dub is already through Whole Cake Island, right?

Ya, I looked into after remembering it writing the post. Came to find out it apparently through the Microsoft store, which is a mess. Only to find out after that, that the Funimation site has it, but I forgot to look for it on there since I was watching a bunch of other stuff, and some of the english dub being on Netflix, while Funimation and Crunchyroll are supposed to be fusing together, but the library fusing seems to be taking way longer than it should.

I understand why people watch in the original language, I quite prefer my Korean tv drama's also in their original language. However I must admit that having an english language track makes it easier, you don't have to focussed 100 % of the time to get everything.
