Are the voices all in japanese with subtitles or will it be voiced in English when it releases?

It will only have Japanese voice actors unless Bandai patches one in post-release. Why is there no English? I could not tell you, perhaps due to budget, or maybe it could just be a time issue. My Hero One's Justice 2 ended up getting a English patch so it's not impossible.

This is just a long way to say no, but perhaps if people want it enough, it could happen.

It's so weird that a full priced, console RPG from a major publisher is coming out sub only. I guess Bandai doesn't want to deal with Texas voice actors.

They also should really "advertise" that on the game description. It might make a difference for a lot of players.

I definitely agree that it should be advertised to a certain degree, at the same time I often think English speakers are entitled. One Piece is a Japanese property at the end of the day. It will cater to Japanese people first. One piece recently just started doing English Dub again in the last year or two? That tells me English wasn't a big audience for them anymore and none of their recent games have been in English either. If we want an English dub, English speakers have to consume the media more. There are plenty of English properties that don't get translated and they have to read Japanese subtitles instead. It happens so in the end just research what you buy. And if it ain't for you, remember that two hour window on steam so you can always refund it

Supported languages are always shown on the game's steam page (right side). For this game, only Japanese has a mark under "Full audio"

So these developers are just slacking. I'm new to steam so I don't know what is normal for this platform. If that's normal, I wonder why they aren't doing this. I hope they just aren't being lazy.

Probably. Hopefully this game is successful enough to give us a dub patch, or at least a dub for a potential sequel.

I noticed that some JRPGs don't bother with dub when they aren't sure whether or not the game is going to be profitable overseas. Of course, it's just speculation.

No that's completely true, especially if it is based on an anime that people in the west just aren't tuning into or maybe the west already has a dub but most westerns are watching subbed. So this along with budget. They would have no reason to make a dub

Honestly I highly doubt One piece games will ever have a dub simply because because the english version of one piece is nowhere near as popular as the subbed. If you compare DBZ, One piece, and Naruto the dub of DBZ and Naruto is really well received and therefore all the games for those series released in the West have dubs but One Piece was off to a really rough start with the 4Kids version almost ruining the whole experience and only the later episodes finally had a decent dub but at that point most people already had committed to watching the sub since it was like over 100 episodes in. So from my stand point anyway it doesn't really seem like a good business decision to pay alot of money for an english dub version when one piece games are a niche market anyway and the target is for those who have probly been following the series for a long time.

rather suprizing if you ask me.... considering the made in abyss game is fully dubed and fully voiced and it's no near as popular....

maybe there was a problem getting the english voice actors or they couldn't deside WHICH english voice actors to go with.... IDK

That's disappointing. Hopefully they do a dub to English. I am sure I am not the only one who will be waiting for it before I buy.

Almost bought this not knowing it's only in Japanese. I'll be waiting for an English patch :fingersCrossed

I wonder what kind of stats they typically see when both options are offered. For myself at least I would never even consider English voices, but I can't imagine it's too hard to find people who would want them.
true weebs speak Japanese anyway

You think "English speakers are entitled"?
Really?
An anime that airs on television with English voices in English speaking countries , and you think people that speak English shouldn't expect the same from the video game?
Wow . Sounds like you have a problem
