Weird physics glitches
Hi,

I've just downloaded this game and have made it only part way through the first level before strange things started to happen. I've reached the area with the door and two pressure pads, with a lever in the center. When I try to move the blocks onto the pressure pads it seems impossible. I can pick them up but when I put them down they fly around the room randomly and land somewhere else.

I've tried running in compatability mode for xp and vista. My setup us i5 4570, r7 265 running windows 7 64 bit.

Any suggestions??

Are you sure you are putting them down?

I always forget which buttons to use (and you might not even use a controller), but you can "put down" something you're carrying, or you can throw it.

I press B on my xbox 360 controller. She puts them down on the floor and they sort of fly backwards under her feet :/

Would you also know how to get the statue pulled down to the ground in that same area? I can attach my grapling hook with X but I have no idea how to actually pull the thing down. Seriously I tried every button and combinations of buttons but I have no idea how to get the damn thing down.

I have the exakt same problem. Looks easy in walkthroughs, but i just can't get the statue down.
And i also don't get the pressure pad thing.

Is it the statue head? the one where you can place your hook on it? If so, place the two blocks/stones on the other one. use the lever and wait for the fire to start on the left one. That use your hook on the one you can, walk over to it and press space and than E to crawl up

Just to make sure. After you turned VSync and triple buffer on you could put the boxes down without them flying away and were able to pull the statues head down?

This game is really designed for 30 fps. I was experiencing physics weirdness (even with v-sync on) so I decided to fire up my PS3 copy and physics is completely fine there. Lara even has a nice breast bounce. Then I capped the game at 30 fps with its built-in fps limiter. Now physics works fine, even Lara's breast bounce.

So, I think I'll continue the PS3 version because it has way better sound quality than the PC version and I have to go 30 fps anyway for the game to work correctly. Also, some graphical tricks don't look hot at high resolutions.

So, on PC I'd have to lower the resolution, cap it to 30 and suffer worse sound. You can tell this game comes from the era when PC wasn't that important in the eyes of the developers.

It should work at 60 fps.
