2: under the "Shortcut" tab there is an entry called "Target" where it should give you the location of the executable.
3: at the end of this target pathway (after the inverted commas) you need to add a SPACE followed by -setup.
4: run the modified shortcut and your setup dialogue will pop up before the game.
5: you need to make sure the checkbox labeled "Use 2.0 Shader Features" is OFF/UNCHECKED.
Unfortunately this doesnt work for me. It opens up the setup dialogue, but there is no oprion to "Use 2.0 Shader Features". Ive tried unchecking ALL available options and it still wont launch the game.
EDIT - I spoke too soon. After your suggestion, I tried setting Steams affinity to 8 cores(Task Manager > Details > Right-Click Steam.exe > Set Affinity) and it finally worked! I tried setting affinity before, but it never worked until after trying your fix, so thanks!
Glad it worked for you. Enjoy.
Did you try it?
What don't you understand?
Crap like that is hard to diagnose. The game will only run on a single core as it was made when there were only single cores. It does not like multiple cores.
