Cannot Save Tomb Raider Underworld Game File. How Come?

I just purchased Underworld and downloaded the game last night. I've been playing it and got pretty far, but for some reason when I installed the game, it was having a problem with one thing I forgot. But when I tried to save my game, it failed to do so. I was wondering has anyone been through this before? And if so, what did you do? What is it could I do? Please, I don't want to keep restarting the game over. Thank you.

The obvious idea when games can't save is some permission screwup.

If you look for the save file location, you might find https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tomb_Raider%3A_Underworld#Save_game_data_location -- I don't know whether it's correct, but lets assume it is. Check whether the folder exists, or whether you can actually create it, and check whether you can put files into it.

If you can't, you'd have to figure out why the permissions on that folder are messed up. Your documents folder should be owned by you, obviously, and have all the necessary permissions to create/read/write stuff in it. That's the default setup, and nothing should have messed with that as it breaks all sorts of stuff.

Thank you for replying. Do you know what the file would be labeled as? And would it be best to uninstall then reinstall the game again?
