What is especially annoying is that the re-center brings the camera just below her butts. I appreciate the beauty of a lady but I would rather spend my time figuring out where to go than staring at her butts.
The only cons is that if an enemy comes up nearby then your whole screen can go off-camera as she suddenly swivels around to aim at it.
I'm glad it works for you. However, eventually I scrubbed it from my hard disk - twice!
++++++WARNING: Rant Below: Read at your own risk+++++
This game is ridiculously jam-packed with bugs. There are way more bugs in this game than the Prince of Persia 3D (the one which killed their franchise earlier).
After a day or two of deleting it, I installed it once again and used a save-game from stellar to skip the mayian calendar puzzle's ending-sprint. Later I had to download another save game to cut-through another insanely tedious area. Eventually, I got fed up of the glitches and deleted it.
I wish someone had mentioned about this in a thread on the forums so that I wouldn't have bought this game.

Ty! Just use stellar to skip sections with the save games, if you need to. For each level they have multiple checkpoint save files. One for each checkpoint.
