Game Always Hangs
After the scene where Lara getting shoot at by the black dude in front of the door (that one after you jump off the ledge) the screen turns white, and the music will repeat itself again and again forever in a loop. Its stuck there. Task Manager always says its not responding, idk why. Any solution? I tried the verify game integrity file, doesn't work.

Edit: I managed to find the problem, so it turned out to be the RAM. I have 3200Mhz RAM, and I enabled XMP profile 2 to get them to 3200mhz, but some games seem to be unstable with this profile. For instance, RDR2 always crash after 10 minutes into the game, even old game like AC3 crashes sometimes. And it was including this game. As stated above, this game game always hangs in the opening cutscene. So I disabled XMP profile 2 and use profile 1 instead (2933mhz), ♥♥♥♥ it I can't use the advertized speed of my memory sticks but at least this game and RDR2 finally working just fine for the first time, after lots of hour and frustration researching and googling on the internet, and tinkering with setting and ♥♥♥♥♥ on my PC. I hope if someone sees this post because they googled this and they have the same problem, they can finally solve this.

If task manager says it’s not responding then you could read Windows Event Viewer logs to find out what the error message is.

And what should I do after I find out what the error message is?

Post it here. It’s a learning experience. It might be a challenge. It depends how determined you are to get it working. There are known bugs in this game. I bypassed one part of the game that was causing a crash like you had by simply using someone else’s save game to continue after that point. Then I watched a YouTube play through to see the small bit I missed. I mean, if you wanted you could read my guide to running the game from virtual hard disk and follow the regular troubleshooting steps there. It might help. But I can’t recommend it because it’s time and effort and we have no information to suggest any of the steps would work.

here is what is so annoying beside the game being unplayable: It wont close in any way. I tried clicking the x button, didnt worlk. It also prevents another programs from being visible, my whole display stuck in its white screen, cannot go anywhere else. If I open task manager, it wont let me switch to it. Task manager and other programs will only be visible when I hover my pointer over their logo at the taskbar. I literally have to restart the computer or lock the windows account to force close it.

Thats just an additional info, I'll add the error info later

Look for some guides online with a good keyword search and hunt around the GUI. Windows would generate some log about a task not reponding. I’d have to do the same amount of research you’re doing to solve it. Try running the game in windowed mode so if it crashes you can still see and probably interact with the Windows desktop instead of the stalled program blocking your view. Alt Enter. I’ve had that issue before.

you can always just download a save file that occurs after the opening cutscene. one website I know you can go to is some TR walkthrough site managed by someone named Stella.
