Someone explain the warrior shield ability?

I've popped them and had them stand up to 2 or 3 shots before, but I've also seen them get taken down from 1 hit.

I just popped a shield, got hit once and lost the shield and 90% of my armour with 3 legendary armour pieces. I can't help but feel like this is wildly inconsistent...

warrior shild skill you mean?
on legendary it absorbs 800 or 600 damage, not sure which of these

other shild pots just have a damage number in the bar, so i guess thats not the question

Aye you're right, I mean the warrior skill.

Each tier of rarity offers different amounts of damage points worth of protection. So your shield will only absorb that particular amount. The type of weapon/ability and the rarity of that weapon/ability that is attacking you will determine how fast it depletes.
