But at the start of the game check the map and land in the circle or try to land in more popular locations. More popular locations are more fun and dangerous, less popular locations more chance to survive at the start but are boring :)
Hope this helps.
Have fun!
When the game was real players only (100 players), every forge on the map had players. Some people would even drop in "non-forge" areas just to be safe early game.
So yeah, if you want this to be fixed be sure to ask the devs to remove them. The game is way more fun with real players only.
Edit: Inb4 someone comes with the old copypasta "there are not enough players to remove the bots", there is cross-platform now so we do have enough players for that. I mean, the game had 10k peak on steam a few days ago, now it doesn't go above 5k. You tell me why. A lot of people said (even known streamers) that the bots are stopping them to play the game.
Generally landing Lumber or Jade and working our way around that area of the map until forced out by the circle.
hey, we played together a few nights ago in a Squad. I resurrected you one time and you saved me near the end and we won!
I guess as RR gets more "mature" HiRez will develop new maps (hopefully some smaller and some bigger, and some just weird!).
For now, as the others advise:
- land at, or near, the popular areas (you'll have to experiment on these).
- also I found when new and crap at aiming I tended to always be running from the fog and not meeting many opponents. As I got better I tend to land, kill a few, forge and then leave well before the fog comes (if I can!). I tend to then run into more players at the next forge etc. as we all run well in advance of the fog.
- might depend on player style but I find DUO the most fun and one tends to encounter more opponents??? - dunno why.
Also depends on play style - if you are timid and a "camper/hider" then you won't encounter so many fights.
Hang in there. It IS fun. Hope to catch you again.
