Essentially, you can only work your way up the ranks by placing higher and higher in matches, and cannot fall over time. The highest rank is therefore achieved by earning 50 wins.
Once you have played 50 wins, the game will also track the total number of eliminations you have made within your top 50 games.
Won't everyone eventually end at the top rank then? I don't get it.
No real reason to rank if there's no true rewards. Maybe special mounts at end of the each season, special skins for armors/weapons that you can only get at high ratings.
Stuff like this creates insane competitive gameplay and seperates casual players from insanely skilled or more hardcore players. Which you don't really want to face around if you are just beginner or casual player because high rated players would just outplay you. I'm not saying I would but lets be honest pro players are just miles ahead of most of us.
As far as I'm aware there is no MMR in this game when you Q. You don't get matched up against people of the same rank in the current system.
