Runes dropped upon being killed

More then once i have seen runes being picked up from my dead body. Atleast i see them absorb what seems to be a rune. Im going to record some games and rewatch. Anyone see anything similar to what ive seen?

It's a visual bug, there are no rune drops.

I've seen and picked up runes in random piles of loot. It's rare (about once a week) but I've seen it about a dozen times. Not by chests, drops, or goblins, literally just out in the open sitting with a full loadout and shard stack. Seems to happen from bot vs bot kills because of the fact that the loot is still there. Probably some kind of bug.

I've never seen a person I killed drop a rune.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I've played this game since it first released (when you still had to find armor pieces and when classes were super basic) and Aim Botting has been a huge problem
