You need to rescue five cats in order to get that particular chest. It's one of the more hidden and complicated eggs to obtain.

You can get the item pretty early, but it's... at least to me... insanely well hidden. I only discovered per accident where you had to do something. Even after solving it it still took me a while until i understood "Oh! THAT is how you were supposed to figure that out!" while looking at a completely different puzzle again.
